, it's an opportunity for us to get out on the water and keep sailing after the excitement of the summer regattas and pep up our mood ahead of the winter months. Here you can see us sailing Rozerina to the Saronic island of Poros for two weekends of training in Med mooring, anchoring and long line mooring. Strangely enough, on both Saturdays, we set sail from Alimos Marina in southern Athens under blue skies and light winds - a little too light to begin with. Close to where we docked Rozerina on the first weekend, we noticed smoke seeping out of a yacht moored a few boats over from us and called the fire service. Soon enough, the smoke was billowing out. Thankfully, no one was on the boat. After a cosy sleep on Rozerina, on both Sundays we woke up to ominous clouds hanging overhead and a little rain, which dropped off the closer we got to the marina. However, Aeolus cooperated and delivered some wind, allowing us to get in some good sailing on the journey back. Greek army fighter jets even put on a show - and what a show it was - that felt like it was just for us as we tacked across Faliro Bay. In November and December, spring always seems like such a long way off. But the months pass and, before we know it, we're happily pulling on our gear and hoisting sails in Greece's generous sunshine. Happy holidays everyone. SV Rozerina is also available for charter. She's super comfortable and pretty speedy, too.
